The Special Policy Study “Global Climate Governance and Green and Inclusive Transition” under the “Global Environmental Governance Innovation” program of the China Council for International Cooperation on Environment and Development (CCICED) examines how China can strengthen its role in global climate governance while advancing a comprehensive green transition.

Focusing on energy transition and low-carbon industrial development, it identifies pathways to balance domestic growth with international climate commitments. The research assesses global governance trends, trade and finance mechanisms, and China’s roadmap toward carbon neutrality, highlighting opportunities in renewable energy, green industries, and inclusive policy design.
