Goals and Pathways for Environmental Improvement in 2035

Overall, China’s current eco-environmental governance system and capacity are still weak due to a number of shortcomings and deficiencies. Therefore, it is more difficult to achieve the 2035 goal considering more challenges. After the critical period for pollution control, it is necessary to further accelerate the governance process based on different elements, so that the eco-environmental quality can be finally improved in terms of comprehensiveness, stability and balance.
