Green Development Cooperation

The Special Policy Study “Green Development Cooperation” examines how China can advance global partnerships to address the intertwined crises of climate change, biodiversity loss, and pollution. As the international landscape becomes more complex—with rising geopolitical tensions and the growing influence of the Global South—the study explores how China can promote fair, inclusive, and effective cooperation while pursuing its own green transformation.

The research reviews key areas of collaboration, including climate and energy transition, biodiversity, green trade, technological innovation, and green finance. It highlights China’s progress in clean energy and its role as a major contributor to global low-carbon growth, while emphasizing that openness, multilateralism, and shared innovation are essential for achieving a sustainable future for all.
