Ji Zou is the CEO and President of Energy Foundation China. Previously, he served as deputy director general of China’s National Center for Climate Change Strategy and International Cooperation. In this role, Ji Zou focused on China’s low-carbon development strategy and policies and led international climate negotiations.
Ji Zou holds a bachelor’s degree in environmental engineering and a master’s in technical economics, both from Tsinghua University. He also holds a Ph.D. in Resources and Environmental Economics from Renmin University. He has been a visiting scholar at Harvard University and at the London School of Economics.
