As a leading China regulatory expert, Hongjun Zhang specializes in China’s environmental, energy, and investment issues. He advises multinational companies, trade associations, and non-profit organizations on China legal and policy issues. 

Prior to entering private practice, Hongjun was a legislative director in China’s National People’s Congress. In this position, he was responsible for drafting China’s environmental and natural resources conservation laws, including the air pollution prevention and control law, the energy conservation law, and the cleaner production law.

Hongjun has undergraduate and graduate degrees from Peking University, and law degrees from Peking University and Harvard Law School.
