Julie Dabrusin

Executive Vice Chairperson, CCICED Minister of Environment and Climate Change, Canada

Julie Dabrusin is Canada’s current Minister of Environment and Climate Change, a role she has held since 2024. Dabrusin is a long-time resident of Toronto–Danforth and was first elected as a Member of Parliament in 2015.

Prior to becoming a Member of Parliament, Dabrusin practised law in Toronto and was a community advocate for public transit, housing, the arts, and the fight against climate change.

As a Member of Parliament, Dabrusin has served in various roles, including as the Parliamentary Secretary to the Minister of Canadian Heritage, Parliamentary Secretary to the Minister of Natural Resources, and Parliamentary Secretary to the Minister of Environment and Climate Change.

Dabrusin has been involved in climate-based initiatives in both her public and private role, including contributing to modernizing the Canadian Environmental Protection Act.

As the Minister of Environment and Climate Change, she is focused on delivering ambitious climate action while growing a strong, sustainable economy and creating a healthier and more resilient Canada for all Canadians.
