Christoffer Grønstad is a Senior Advisor with the Norwegian Institute for Water Research (NIVA) and joined CCICED as a Special Advisor in July 2025.

He has previously served as Counselor at Norway’s Embassy in China, Counselor for Climate Change and Forest at Norway’s Embassy in Indonesia, and as Senior Advisor for Norway’s Environment Agency and Ministry of Climate and Environment.

Grønstad’s expertise includes supply chains, plastics, circular economy, and multilateral environmental governance. He was part of Norway’s delegation negotiating the Kunming-Montreal Global Biodiversity Framework and has previously participated in climate COP negotiations.
