Mr. Alfsen is currently the Senior Researcher at CICERO – Center for International Climate and Environmental Research Oslo – and since 2011 a member of the Chief Advisor’s Group to CCICED. Previous positions include Director of Research in the Research department of Statistics Norway, Director of Research at Institute for Energy Technology (IFE) in Norway, Director and later Head Research Director and Strategic Director at CICERO. He has a PhD in theoretical physics from the University of Oslo, but has worked as an environmental economist most of his carrier.
