Dai Minhan is Chair Professor of Marine Environmental Science at Xiamen University, Academician of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, and a CCICED Council Member. Within CCICED, Minhan co-leads the council’s Special Policy Study (SPS) on “Sustainable Blue Economy Under the Vision of Carbon Neutrality.”

He is also a member of the Intergovernmental Oceanographic Commission (IOC) Expert Group of the Global Ocean Oxygen Network (GO2NE) and the High-Level Panel for a Sustainable Ocean Economy. Minhan also co-leads the research project “Coastal Zones Under Intensifying Human Activities and Changing Climate: A Regional Programme Integrating Science, Management and Society to Support Ocean Sustainability (COASTAL-SOS)”, which was endorsed by the UN Decade of Ocean Science for Sustainable Development Program.

His research focuses include the geochemistry of carbon, radioactive elements, and colloidal material.
