2021 CCICED Work Plan

2020 marks the final year of achieving “the moderately prosperous society” and winning the battle for pollution control. The spread of the new coronavirus (COVID-19) in 2020 has had an enormous effect on the global economy and social development. The 15th Conference of the Parties of the UN Convention on Biological Diversity (COP 15, Kunming) and the 26th Conference of the Parties of the UN Framework Convention on Climate Change (COP 26, Glasgow) have been postponed consequently. Faced by the severity and complexity in preventing and controlling the pandemic, considering its impact on the global economy, tasks of pursuing the green recovery of the economy, and unremittingly advancing the sustainable development have been prioritized. It is particularly important to continue to strengthen and innovate international cooperation.
