National Governance Capacity for Green Transformation

Green transformation aims at creating an inclusive prosperity while maintaining the sustainability of natural ecosystems, connecting green transformation requirements to national economic development, bringing about a fundamental shift in the way people live. Different from conventional approaches, environmental governance for the green transformation requires systematic and forward-looking reform for the development of the national governance system and governance capacity building. The national governance system needs close collaboration among the government, market, and society. The Task Force’s discussions about the green transformation of national governance capacity focused on these three dimensions.
